OVERVIEW

The Zaldivar Agglomeration Drum Plant was unique in that the Drums were among the largest drums in the world at 12.5m long X 4m in diameter and the client requirements further dictated a fully automated, variable plant due to the multiple ore types.

SENET was also responsible for auditing the existing 3.2km overland and Dynamic Analysis to accommodate the new fixed tripper station which feeds the agglomeration drum facility. The two cross conveyors fed the surge bins, the variable speed belt feeders withdrew from the surge bin and fed into the drums, which then discharged onto the extended tail of an existing overland conveyor.

Specialised chute designs accommodated the sticky materials and acid addition, drum speeds, inclination and drum feed rates were all variable/automated.
