OVERVIEW

Yatela Gold Heap Leach Plant was sized to process 2,8MTPA of gold ore. The project consisted of R.O.M tip, two stage crushing with MMD sizers, agglomeration, overland conveying, 2 x 900mm ramp conveyers, 26 x 900mm grasshopper conveyors, one transverse, stacker feed and self leveling 40 metre stacker stacking to 12 metre heap height.

Infrastructure supplied and installed were roads, workshop, offices, stores, regent store, security fencing, overhead powerlines and water treatment plants.

The project was carried out in a 12 month total project duration, through the rainy season achieving maximum bonus for completion 3 weeks ahead if schedule in October 1997.
