OVERVIEW

The Siguiri CIP Plant was designed, shipped to site, constructed and commissioned in a 16 month project period.

The feed to the CIP Plant utilized the existing crushing and surge stockpile from the existing Phase 2 Heap Leach Plant.

The feed is first scrubbed in the 2,5MW Scrubber before the undersize reports to the 6MW Ball Mill, the oversize from the Scrubber is sent to the existing heap leach after further crushing. From here the circuit passes through 10 x 3600m³ leach tanks, 7 x 1750m³ CIP tanks, and then on through elution, electrowinning and finally to gold production.

Tailings pumps, trash screens and tailings screens are the biggest of their type ever manufactured. Raw water pipelines are 650mm diameter, 16 kilometers long, tailings 10 kilometres x 800mm diameter, return water 6 kilometres x 600mm diameter and process water 8 kilometres x 550mm diameter. There is +- 36 kilometres of overhead power line at various HT voltages. The new power station is HFO fuel powered producing 30MW of extra power adding to the existing 8MW.
