OVERVIEW
The new SEPARATION MAGNETIQUE HUMIDE (SMH) / Wet Separation plant was designed by SENET to process the electrostatic filters fines products as well as the pneumatic cyclones group A & B underflow fines products from the existing installations.
The object of the proposed 364t/h SMH plant was to treat the above fine products in a wet magnetic separation process. Although the proposed SMH plant is designed to treat magnetite at this stage, sufficient flexibility has been built in the design to enable future expansion for treatment of hematite with minimum alterations required.
The SMH plant ties in the existing installation with minimum modifications and makes use of the existing products handling systems
The plant is designed to operate continuously at optimum efficiency and with minimum down time taking into account the average physical and chemical characteristics of the ores.
The plant is fitted with a high level of instrumentation thereby limiting operator supervision and ensuring optimum process control at all times
