OVERVIEW
SENET is currently responsible for all activities related to the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of a Gold Recovery Plant and associated infrastructure for the Tasiast Project to process 1,120,000 tons per year of gold ore, with a minimum project life of 8 years and all buildings and installations of the Mining Camp.
In summary the processing circuit will consist of a three stage crushing circuit with a capacity of approximately 250 tph. The fine-crushed product from the Secondary and Tertiary crushers will be fed at a constant rate (150 tph) into the Ball Mill (2000kW) Product from the Ball Mill will be fed via the cyclones to six mechanicallyagitated tanks, each with a capacity of 1609 m3.
Following on the CIL circuit are also the acid wash, elution, electrowinning and finally gold production circuits.Carbon will also be regenerated via a diesel-fired heated rotary kiln.
The Project was designed in South Africa, all mechanical equipment was procured in South Africa, all structural steel work was fabricated in Senegal with steel supplied from South Africa, the mill was fabricated in China and the thickener was fabricated in India and all was and is being erected in Mauritania.
