OVERVIEW

This project comprised the design and construction of two Run of Mine tips handling 2000 tonnes per hour of coal. Both tips included a 300 tonne bin accommodating 190 tonne rear tipping trucks at one tip and 150 tonne bottom dumping trucks at the other. A static grizzly with 1200mm by 680mm openings regulated the feed size to the crusher. Each tip was also equipped with a hydraulic grab to assist with the removal of oversized feed material.

The double roll three tooth sizer was fed by means of a pan / vibrating grizzly feeder combination, ensuring the removal of all –250mm material from the crusher feed. A 1,500mm wide discharge conveyor transported the crushed product and grizzly underflow to a storage bin (by others).
