OVERVIEW

SENET was responsible for the detail design, procurement, fabrication, erection and commissioning of nine new 10,000tph, 1650mm wide overland stockyard stacking/ reclaiming conveyors up to 2,320m long, including a sampling system as well as structural alterations to the existing conveyors at Saldanha Iron Ore Export Facility.

The stockyard conveyors are designed to handle the stacking and reclaiming via a moveable tripper arrangement included in the stacker reclaimer machines.

Due to the nature of the ore body and the requirement to transfer product at 90° in certain positions, SENET designed their own chutes to handle these conditions and extensive test work was carried out to prove the final design criteria.
