OVERVIEW
The Taparko gold plant was designed, procured and shipped to site, constructed and will be commissioned. The plant is sized to process is 1 MTPA of combined Oxide and Suplhide ore. The project consists of an Oxide ROM bin, apron feeder, Jaw crusher (160kW), secondary and tertiary cone crushers (220kW) and five transfer conveyors. The sulphide crushing has a ROM bin, apron feeder and Tooth roll crusher (132kW).
The site further consists of a Stockpile, a conveyor feeding a Ball mill (3885kW, 5.03m diameter x 7.16m long), Cyclone cluster, and a Trash screen makes up the milling circuit.
Gravity gold gets recovered in a Knelson concentrator and shaking redress table. Milled cyclone overflow passes through 6 CIL tanks (each having a volume of 830m_), then on through acid wash, elution, electrowinning and finally to gold production. CIL tailings are thickened (20m diameter) and are pumped to a fully lined Tailings pond. Raw water pipeline is 315mm diameter x 5km, tailings 200mm diameter x 2.5km, return water 200mm diameter x 1.5km, process water 150mm diameter x 0.5km.
